This page isn't strictly to do with my work as a guide but as it is an opportunity to use the website, here it is.

In November 2011, my 7 year-old son, Nathan was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes. It was a shock at the time and he is getting into the swing of his injections and treatment. Having now read lots on the subject, it's clear that with the right research, progress can be made in making things better for people with diabetes such as in the avoidance of problems later on in life with their eyes, kidneys and nerves. Diabetes UK are active in this research.

This from their website, 'Scientists agree that research will lead to a cure for diabetes and recent breakthroughs suggest we may be closer than we thought'.

Having guided on many charity challenges, I now intend to do one of my own in June this year. So please support me as I cycle from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean across the mountains of the Pyrenees. It's 710 kms, 11,000 metres of ascent and has to be done in 100 hours!

If you can help, here's the link for donations http://www.justgiving.com/Kevin-Albin

Truly, many thanks, Kev Albin
